In recent years, wine tourism has become one of the most interesting complementary offerings in Andalusia. In the case of the Costa del Sol, the destination has been strengthened by the offer of dozens of wineries that, protected by the two denominations of origin existing in the province (Málaga and Sierras de Málaga), offer unique experiences in the same place where high-quality wines are made. In addition to guided tours of the vineyards and the winery itself, tastings are usually included and, in some cases, even paired lunches. In this way, the visitor will not only learn about the process of making the different types of wine but will also get to know the landscape and the wine-making heritage of a province with much to say in this sector.
